Tamlynn Bryson was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. At the age of six, she appeared in her first school play as Little Red Riding Hood, when she tripped on her cape and fell in front of everyone. From that moment on, she has been determined to redeem herself as an actor. At age seven she started taking classes at The Ottawa School of Speech and Drama (OSSD), where she studied, worked, and volunteered throughout her childhood and teenage years. She continued expanding her theatrical skills in the intensive drama program at Canterbury High School.
Tamlynn completed the BFA Acting program at the University of Windsor in 2015, where she had the opportunity to explore a variety of acting styles and methods, including movement composition, Shakespeare, Commedia Dell’Arte, contemporary film, Michael Chekhov, and Viewpoints training. She has also trained at the Moscow Art Theatre School through Wayne State Univerisity's A Month in Moscow program (2013), taken two workshops in Suzuki, Viewpoints, and Composition with the SITI Company (2012/2013), studied Shakespeare with the Summer Academy at Stratford (2014), and studied Sketch Writing (2016) and Standup Comedy (2017/2018) at the Second City Training Centre in Toronto.
Tamlynn is particularly interested in creating original work. Since graduating, she has co-created and performed two original solo shows: Bedwetter and (in)decision, which she has toured to various Fringe Festivals across Canada, winning multiple awards. She has performed standup comedy at various clubs across Toronto, for five years was a member of the sketch comedy group Cookie Biscuits, and is currently a member of the sketch comedy group Boy Girl Party (See Projects for more information).
